Route 4 affected through August 16th!

The next stage of construction for the City of Chico's Esplanade Corridor Safety and Accessibility Project includes a full road closure at the intersection of Memorial Way and Oleander Ave from June 10th through August 16th. This closure will begin on Monday morning June 10th and access to the area will be limited to construction traffic only. The City of Chico and B-Line highly encourage pedestrians, bicyclists and all other traffic, including emergency services, to plan and utilize detour routes around the closed section.

B-Line will be re-routing a portion of Route 4 during this phase of the project due to the closure and construction on Memorial at Oleander. This closure will begin on 6/10/24 and run through 8/16/24. Please read below for more details on the re-route and stops that will not be serviced through 8/16/24.

Route 4 Outbound: Bypass Memorial, continue straight on Esplanade. Turn Right on E Lincoln Ave. Turn left on Oleander.

Route 4 Outbound Non-Serviced Stops: Memorial/Oleander, Chico Jr.

Route 4 Inbound: Bypass Oleander, continue straight on E 1st Ave. Turn Left on Esplanade. Continue on to CTC.

Route 4 Inbound Non-Serviced Stops: Oleander/E Sacramento Ave, Chico Jr and Memorial/Oleander.

Please call (530) 342-0221 for additional information or questions.

Now accepting SSTAC Applications for FY 24/25!

The deadline to apply is Friday, July 12, 2024.

What is the Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (or S.S.T.A.C.)?

The S.S.T.A.C. provides input on public transit issues. Meetings are held 1-2 times per year via Zoom and in person at the BCAG office.

Any community member of Butte County can apply to serve for a 3-year term. We encourage participants from the many cultural, social, and socio-economic groups in our area to join BCAG/B-Line in continuing to improve the services that public transit provides.

What does the S.S.T.A.C. do?

The committee reviews the Unmet Transit Needs (UTN) process for Butte County, reviews other transit issues and provides recommendations for improvement.
