2012 MTP/SCS
The 2012 Metropolitan Transportation Plan / Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS) was adopted by the BCAG Board of Directors on December 13th, 2012 and included the areas first SCS. The 2012 MTP/SCS covered the 23 year period between 2012-2035.

2012 Metropolitan Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy Document
A program-level Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has been prepared for the 2012 update of the Butte County Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and Sustainable Communities Strategy (SCS). A program EIR is an environmental document that provides a framework for future environmental analysis. The EIR presents a regional assessment of the MTP/SCS impacts. Individual specific environmental analysis of each project will be performed by the lead agency prior to each project being implemented.

BCAG hosted 4 public workshops in early August 2011 to present the preliminary draft 2012 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and to inform and educate the public as to what the SCS consists of, the issues and policies choices, and to solicit comments prior to its development.
