Spencer Avenue Transit Center
What is the Project?
BCAG in combination with the City of Oroville, is leading the development of a transit center on Spencer Avenue between Oro Dam Boulevard and Mitchell Streets in Oroville. In the Fall of 2007, approximately $1 million was secured in Federal Transit Adminstration (FTA) funding, for the development of this project.
Why was Project developed?
BCAG, together with the City of Oroville believes the development of a functional and modest trasit center will faciliate increased usage of the 5 local and regional routes using this location while also enhancing the adjacent retail land commercial businesses.
Project Completion
The project was completed in the Spring of 2011 at an approximate cost of $2 million.
